Last Fall I took a course on fashion styling (Read my review here!), which gave me a look at the world of professional stylists. I was able to expand my knowledge of fashion and discovered new opportunities to explore the different areas of the fashion industry. Basically, I was hooked and couldn’t wait to learn more! My interests have grown to include costuming, and my high school has allowed me to create a 60-hour independent study course with the costuming department of the school theatre program. I’ve been able to work on everything from millinery skills to sewing! It’s been…

The Bouqs Flower Delivery

By Molly | December 9th 2015

I have always loved having fresh cut flowers in my room, and when I heard about The Bouqs flower delivery service, I knew I had to try it! Who wouldn’t want fresh flowers sent to them year-round?! I love how simple The Bouqs is to order from; the 3-step checkout process is a breeze! The hardest choice for me was picking from their five different subscription packages. After some serious debate, I decided to start with The Farmer’s Market subscription. This subscription features flowers that are grown on a volcano in South America! The Benefit Cosmetics Party Poppers 12 Days of Gorgeous Set!

I recently came home to a fantastic surprise…The Benefit Cosmetics Party Poppers 12 Days of Gorgeous Limited Edition Holiday Set! When I was little I always counted down to the holidays with a chocolate advent calendar, and I love that Benefit has made a countdown calendar with a grown up twist! I love the artwork and bright colors! This year I was invited to attend a Thanksgiving Holiday Dance & Fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting The Bone Marrow Foundation. Guests, made up of high school Freshman and Sophomore students from the NY Metropolitan area, arrived at 583 Park Avenue dressed in their best Black Tie attire to dance, take photos with friends and raise money for a fantastic cause. To enjoy the night in style, I went to R.J. West NY to have my makeup applied! I didn’t want a lot of makeup, just a little to look more polished, so I opted for “The Starlet” package. My Makeup…

The Gender Wage Gap; Please Pay Her!

By Molly | November 11th 2015

Please Pay Her!

There are currently more women enrolled in college and in the work force than ever before. If this is the case, then why aren’t there more women holding high-level positions in companies? Why are women paid 75% of what their male counterparts receive? As a member of the next generation of working women, these are questions that I consider especially important. It’s time for us to stand together and change the existing pattern for working women and equal pay rates.   Historically, women have always been fighting for equal rights.  While the Women’s Equality Movement began in 1848, women didn’t…

Sugar Lip Lovers kit by fresh.

As the seasons change and the cold air hits your fading tan lines, an important thing to do to keep yourself looking fresh and healthy is to moisturize! Cold air does not have to bring chapped lips, or dry hair and skin. I have tried so many different products to help fight off these cold weather enemies, and these are just a few of my favorites! Smith’s Rosebud Salve Lips Chapped Lips no more! It’s hard to choose just one favorite product because there are a few that I keep close by. But it’s safe to say that the infamous Smith’s…
