Fashion

Last Fall I took a course on fashion styling (Read my review here!), which gave me a look at the world of professional stylists. I was able to expand my knowledge of fashion and discovered new opportunities to explore the different areas of the fashion industry. Basically, I was hooked and couldn’t wait to learn more! My interests have grown to include costuming, and my high school has allowed me to create a 60-hour independent study course with the costuming department of the school theatre program. I’ve been able to work on everything from millinery skills to sewing! It’s been…

This year I was invited to attend a Thanksgiving Holiday Dance & Fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting The Bone Marrow Foundation. Guests, made up of high school Freshman and Sophomore students from the NY Metropolitan area, arrived at 583 Park Avenue dressed in their best Black Tie attire to dance, take photos with friends and raise money for a fantastic cause. To enjoy the night in style, I went to R.J. West NY to have my makeup applied! I didn’t want a lot of makeup, just a little to look more polished, so I opted for “The Starlet” package. My Makeup…

We all have those days when our hair just does not want to behave! That is why the newest trend for Fall is catching my eye- Hats! Everyone from Kendall Jenner to Gigi Hadid have been spotted on the streets of Paris or the Departure Gates at LAX with this hot accessory. A-Line Front Button Skirts seem to be this falls latest trend and I am loving the Topshop MOTO Cord Button Front A-Line Skirt ($58). The pale blue color gives a little variety from the normal cognac color that I have been seeing on everyone. This would be great paired with a chunky sweater or a tucked in long sleeve tee for a more casual look. The ‘Shrunken Cable Knit Sweater’ ($75) is a great slightly cropped sweater that will bring some warmth when you pair it with a skirt. I love that this sweater has some added button detail on the…
