The Bouqs Flower Delivery

By Molly | December 9th 2015

I have always loved having fresh cut flowers in my room, and when I heard about The Bouqs flower delivery service, I knew I had to try it! Who wouldn’t want fresh flowers sent to them year-round?!

I love how simple The Bouqs is to order from; the 3-step checkout process is a breeze! The hardest choice for me was picking from their five different subscription packages. After some serious debate, I decided to start with The Farmer’s Market subscription. This subscription features flowers that are grown on a volcano in South America! The stems are from the equator, at about 10,000 ft. above sea level, so the extra sun exposure promises lots of vibrant color. I couldn’t wait for my order to arrive!

I’ll admit, I checked my delivery tracking a few times because I was so excited! When the box arrived I was a little worried; the package was pretty badly crushed. Thankfully, the flowers were in perfect condition! My roses were the most gorgeous shade of pink; the perfect thing to brighten up my bedroom!

My bouquet came with “Care & Design” Tips that included a special code to text from your mobile phone to receive a “How To” video on how to care for your flowers! I loved that idea! The box also displayed five sketches for how to best care for the flowers, and covered filling the vase, flower food, trimming leaves and stems, and how often to change the water to ensure that your bouquet lasts as long as possible.

So far I am in love with this company! Not only was my first order beautiful, but I loved how much care they put into their product. The Bouqs practices eco-friendly farming, with blooms being cut from their source location the day that you order, creating little waste. Because my flowers shipped from South America, they only utilized 4 days of cold storage. Many other companies use triple that time, which cuts down on the longevity of your arrangement. In addition, flowers that are cut in the United States do not require any cold storage because they are immediately sent out for delivery; that is a huge amount of saved energy! The farms that The Bouqs utilize provide on-site childcare and healthcare for the employees, too!

I’m really looking forward to my next delivery from The Bouqs, and I’m interested in trying out some of their other subscription packages as well!
